Contemplating buying a 2017 LaCrosse
Hi. I'm looking into buying a 2017 LaCrosse with the 3.6 with roughly 130,000 miles on it. I was wondering what y'alls experiences have been with these similar model years and if there's anything in particular I should be aware of as far as maintenance or issues go. Thanks.

Find one with lower miles

DON'T,
I have one with 62 m\k miles......... and I'm worried. Within 6 weeks of ownership the following has occured...... Failure to start, once AC failure, once Engine temperture gauge inop, twice that I've noticed... Shows discharge on battery gauge. .....Often No oil prerssure gauge, but a oil temperture gauge? A battery disconnect or reboot of system corrected my problems........ more than once, but for how long??? Electronic controlled rear shocks, leak often, Expensive to replace... Transmission must be serviced every 30K-- Also the dealer I purchased the Lacrosse from had already spent $2,380.60 in repairs on say Buick. Transaxle replaced at 60K makes one wonder.... shoulda bought a Ford. Traded in a Ford Expedition with 141K and never a problem. Plus paid and additional $6,000 for my current headache....... Think twice, then sleep on it Greyeagle.. |
2017 Lacrosse Premium
Late to the thread, but I bought a 2017 Lacrosse Premium in December of 2023. Not a single mechanical issue so far, and I drive it every day! My only gripe is they cut corners with the interior. Mainly the fabric of the seats. Can't believe this car was $49K when it was brand new, but as far as ride, and reliability, they hit it out the park! Currently sitting on 145,000 miles
