2008 lacrosse cxl door locks
Good morning,
My 2008 lacrosse cxl is experiencing difficulties with the doors not locking.
The doors do not respond to the key fob, nor the electronic push button inside the door.
When pushing either the lock/unlock button, I can hear the mechanism trying to operate but nothing happens.
Also the same accrues while putting the vehicle in gear.
This is becoming sort of a nuance, I have to leave the vehicle unlocked at all times.
Any ideas to help remedy this problem?
Thank you all,
Chad

Sometimes a wire will break in the front driver's side door hinge area. The covering boot needs to be opened and a gentle tug on the wires inside there may help locate a broken wire. If this is the problem repair is pretty cut and dried.
Just splice the broken wire together with a connector and secure it.
There could be other reasons , but this is a good place to start checking.

Thank you Hanky,
But unfortunately that's not the problem, I wish it were. It would be an easier fix.
The problem I'm experiencing is with ALL the locks. With the exception of the trunk. And I couldn't imagine that all the actuators would be bad at the same time. I can hear them trying to lock when I push the button. But nothing.

If all the locks don't operate with the individual door switches ,there could be a problem with the BCM (Body control module) that relays the message from the switches /fob .to the various door lock mechanisms.
There should be a DDM, (Drivers door module) that relays the info to various doors. A good scan tool will help pin that down. A possible interruption in the circuitry could affect all doors also.
