I have a 96 3.8 lesabre that runs terrible as soon as the engine reaches about 120 fh operating temp. If I shut it off for a minute it will then run smooth. I have replaced plugs and wires and there was no change. The "engine cooling fan" lite sometimes comes on and off also but the cooling fan is working properly. I''d sure like some direction on this problem. I do have a complete 93 for parts. Thanks so much. Bruce

How many miles does it have on it? when was the last time you checked for any codes? does it smooth out any after awhile? It could well be an O2 sensor, usually if you check some cars have 2, it''s the one closest to the engine that goes out first. Go to AutoZone and get them to plug it in and see if you have any codes, it''s free and will answer a question or 2.
