Rear Strut Replacement

Mornin' All,
I've purchased Monroe gas-matic 81798 struts for the rear for my '91
Park Ave. Got as far as taking the two big bolts out of the lower part of the strut....but I can't get access to the top of the strut to un-bolt it.
Access thru the trunk is not really an option...bolt too far back to access.
Does anyone know how to take out the rear seats?
Any help much apprieciated.:)

Unless they changed, usually you push the rear seat cushion rearward and pullup at the same time. always worked for me.

Rear upper strut mount bolts

They are difficult to access. I've reliezed perhaps cutting the speaker opening out could be the best way to get to the rear strut mount bolt. Just wondered if anyone has had to replace their rear struts.

Replaced Strut with New

The car rides real smooth now.
Used a 15mm wrench (ratchet and normal), a 3x6 mirror, and a work lamp to unbolt the hidden nut on the upper strut mount in the trunk.
Also the black wire coming out of the strut pressure port (auto leveling sense) I snipped because I'll deal with that later.
