Points to HEI distributor

Hi folks,
This may be obvious and therefore a bit of a dumb question but here goes anyway .... I'm looking to swap a HEI distributor from a late Buick 350 and install it into my 1968 Buick 350.
Is it a straight forward swap and 12v supply ? or am i being too simplistic ?

From my reading it seems like the HEI can only give advantages so a worthwhile swap, do you agree ?

Definately, just make sure the no of teeth on drive gear are the same.
