Good evening Guys/Gals

Nice to meet all of you, Here my question we bought a 2010 from Beck & Masten about a year and a half ago, clean car, maroon color fully loaded. The car has been great since we bought it but now the struts are bad, we went to the Dealer the extended warranty does not cover it. I went to NTB they ordered the wrong struts which would have cost me 620.77, so the guy stated he ordered the wrong ones, the ones I need plus install is close to 1500.00. My question to all the experts is do I have to install the manufacture struts(with sensor) or can I install a different kind or what do yall recommend?

I highly appreciate your input, we live in Houston Texas

Let's see (no expert), not sure why struts have a sensor? Are the struts dash adjustable for ride? So a strut is a spring with a shock absorber in the middle of it. You used to just replace shocks and retain the OEM springs. Alignment is critical, must retain or have redone with new front struts.

We have a '16 LaCrosse and I've yet to see anything dealing with strut sensors or ride control, but I may learn something new. GM does have the magnetic particle shocks in Camaros and Corvettes w/dash control but not aware of in passenger cars for 2010?
