lower intake gasket leak on 2002 regal 3.8 non supercharged

Hey there everyone

I was told by the GM dealer that the antifreeze leak is in my lower intake gasket on my 2002 Buick regal 3.8 sohc.

Here's what I think I need to get to do the job:

and

I can re-use the hardware though, right? it's not like replacing head bolts where the bolts have to be replaced?

If i'm missing anything please let me know ASAP!

Add coolant to that as well. They might add a radiator cap to that list too. They confirmed it was the gasket(s) and not the actual upper manifold, correct?

This looks about right for the price listed on the metal "Problem Saver" set if you wish to invest that much. I haven't done many UIM/LIM replacements(just tear downs) but most the guys on sister forums run the metal ones to prevent redoing the manifold gaskets again.

This was another set haven't found reviews for these

You or dealer doing the instal? If it's you I would encourage locktite as well on the manifold bolts.

The reason I asked if it was the gaskets was these sometimes go too.

I'm doing the work on it myself this weekend. I just got the upper and lower intake gaskets last night.
Not sure how long we will have this car, because my wife is talking about trading it for something newer.

Yeah those gaskets and coolant will do.

Gonna start work on it friday.

If you can, find a rental company with a car you intend on buying. That way you don't feel rushed into trying to find what you hate about a car on a short test drive.

Good idea, Thanks :) oh and Happy New Year!
