Hello,
i am German and i live in Germany (of course) and i have to fix a GM Transmission. Itīs only Oil changing and Band adjustment. For that reason i have watched a Video. In that video the US-mechanic said 40 inch Pounds. Is that the same value when i say 40 Food Pounds (ft.lbs), or is there a difference ? I need the 40 inch Pounds converted to Newton Meter (Nm). It would be very kind if you could calculate it for me ? Thank you in advance. |
It's 40 foot pounds not food pounds lol. Yes a big difference between foot and inch pounds. Will start breaking and snapping parts if wrong torque is applied or never tighten right if opposite.

@ Rich B.
Thank you for your Reply. This conversion table is a big help. And sorry for that small mistake. Foot and not food, of course ! We donīt like to eat formulas. |
That's funny Regaldriver. Do think pounds (gain) and food do though go pretty much hand in hand. You're welcome.
