Brake proportioning fittings

I have a 2000 Buick Regal supercharged with 4 with disc/abs. and just purchased a brake line kit from classic tube. problem is the rear lines on the car have a proportioning fitting at each rear wheel. The brake line kit sent looks like it eliminates this fitting. It is about 3 inches long and the new lines will not fit into it. Sent a message to classic tube today and will talk to them about it. Has anyone else eliminated this fitting and had good results.

No never, tough question. The proportion fittings must be restrictors/reduction fittings or perhaps a slow release sort of check valve assy.? To restructure brake fitting ends you must use a pipe cutter and a folded flair is required. A special flair tool is used and it took me several tries last time I did this to get it right.

So you may have A down sized or larger different threaded connection I'd imagine. Perhaps metric or standard vice-verse? Maybe the company has adapters (being Classic Tube)? But with brake lines you need to be pretty much exact due to the tremendous PSI involved (reason for double flair).
