Bad front wheel bearing, driver or passenger side?
 

I have a wheel bearing going out on the front of my 2001 LeSabre Custom (70,000 miles). I'm having a hard time figuring out which side it's on. I've jacked it up and spun the tires, felt for vibration and taken the tires off and spun the wheel bearing to see if I can hear it better. It's not horrible but getting worse, I start to hear it at about 20 mph. I'm not having much luck narrowing it down. Anyone have any more suggestions? Thanks.

Try jacking the car up, and shake each tire by hand..both up and down, and left and right. If there's excessive amount of movement, that could be the side thats bad.

I am having a roaring noise above 20 when turning steering left any amount. Is that noise related to front wheel bearings going bad? Also the roaring gets louder with speed. 1992

sounds like wheel bearing alright. A good way to test for hub noise is to swerve hard while driving each way to see if the noise changes. People honk and flash their lights sometimes but we have to do it when confirming customer complaints. You can usually feel some movement with vehicle in the air. Leave the wheel on and try to rock it back and forth and up and down.
