Hey...

In 1989 Us Australians ended up with a 3800 cubic centimeter V6

engine, and a 4 speed auto also comes with it called the T700...

Ever since i've been for a ride in one, Iloved the motor. Thats why

I am here on this forum. I have a large sedan with a V6 engine, and

a small 950kg car with the buick (australian) engine... I am just interested to compare the US v6 compare to the OZ V6... please reply with info, or msn messanger: beruba@bigpond.net.au

i wanna learn about the buick v6.... I wanna know what americans do to the v6, i can tell you what modifications the australian do to it...

I can send you videos of the quickest australian \v6 road car...

just wanna swap info with american v6 lovers.... You see in australia

people only like v8 engines.... maybe im in the wrong forum here...

are you v6 or v8 people????

Well, Buick hasn't made a V8 in many years (although some Buicks have had Chevrolet and Oldsmobile V8's), so we're mostly V6 people. Personally, I have a supercharged 3800 V6. Our 3800 engine was originally the Buick V8. General Motors literally chopped off two cylinders. I don't know if yours is the same engine. For example, ours is a 90 degree V6, whereas most V6's are at about 60 degrees.

even the higher performance buicks, like th Grand Nationals, were 6 cylinders. buick hasnt really put out a performance V8 since the muscle car era.

the most popular buick "performance engine" is the 3800 supercharged motor, which is common to several of GMs cars.

yes our engine here is the same as what you have there and the 4 speed auto too... in 1997 they started coming out with an eaton

supercharger... from factory the australian version was 170KW.

the new one is 180kw... ill find out what degree the banks are but im sure its the same motor... It is a 90 degree like a rover v8... Minus 2 cyliders... I would love to see some pics of your engine bays, intake manifolds... Even one of the supercharged or turbo charged v6 engines.... Edited by: ecogem666

You have a holden right? What model do you have? I'll tell you They have as much horsepower as an american V8 because there are no emissions laws in australia.
