98 Park Ave stalling problem

98 Park Ave. 177000 miles stalls without warning. Then starts sometime later.
Runs fine between stalling incidents. No trouble code registered. "Check Engine" light illuminates when key is turned to "On" prior to startup. Mechanics can't seem to find anything.

I realize this post is a little old, but does the vehicle still have the problem or has it been corrected?

It hasn't been fixed yet but it hasn't stalled lately either. So it could at any time. Thanks!

Thanks for the update.
If this should happen when and where you can, dump some cold water on the crank sensor then if the engine starts right up you found the problem.
If you don't feel like waiting for it to happen again, have had more than one crank sensor shut down when it got hot and refused to restart , but started right up after cooling with cold water.
