Thats the GD code my beast keeps throwing!!! Every time I drive it, at one point or another It'll set, and the engine will have a slight stumble at lower to mid rpms..... I've replaced the EGR with a new delco unit, no help. Checked for cracks in wiring, loose connections, etc.. everything but metering out all the leads as suggested in the manual. I suck at electric, most of the time.. Anyway, I'm at a loss here and I'd do anything to avoid the dealer, i called breifly and they said they'd have to charge by the hour and complete possible jobs untill they found the problem, basically he told me up front that tracking down the issue would be around $1000, not worth it.

Any suggestions as to whats going on or where to look next?

Its a 95 Lesabre with 52k, everything has been replaced that can be, its in mint condition, I just need to get rid of that damn light!!!!

have you done a compression check? how is the head gasket?

haven't done a compression check, the head gasket seems perfect. I 'll give it a try next time i'm in there. Do you think that the EGR code could be caused by a leaking head?

If the computer give you an EGR code look around the EGR, the car
did'nt receive the OPEN(or position depending on model) valve signal.
You will have the same error if you unplug the egr valve. Look for a
broken wire or maybe your new EGR is defective.... and be sure to have
the same king of EGR valve. GM made many many electrical model of EGR
valve....
