What does TBI OHV stand for or mean in reference to engines? And SFI DOHC?
What does TBI OHV stand for or mean in reference to engines? And what does SFI DOHC mean. I am talking about two different engines. The TBI OHV is a 93 Buick Roadmaster with a 5.7L V8 and the SFI DOHC is referring to a 2001 Chrysler Sebring Convertable FWD and 2.7L V6.

TBI = Throttle body injection - could be one or two fuel injectors
OHV = Overhead valves
SFI = Sequential fuel injection - a fuel injector for each cylinder
DOHC = Dual overhead cams (some engines have only one camshaft to open both intake and exhaust valves, some have two cam shafts one for intake valves and one for exhaust valves and some others have the two camshafts on each bank like in "V" type engine
FWD =Front wheel drive
