pcv-positive crankcase ventilation.. its a vent to let all the gasses and moisture out of the crank case, so it don't sludge up your oil. Did you pull that out of the cylinder head? I'm not too familiar with the 3.3L I haven't seen one sine the 91 Century my parents had until i was 5.

idk, its rigged up to stay in place so had to ask if it was suppose to be there or not.

Okay, I see what you're talking about now.

This is from a 1993 Century I just found on google.. it looks like there's a bracket that you're missing or is broken.

Seeing that picture, I don't think thats the PCV valve. I'm not 100% sure what it is. I'll do some more digging and see if I can figure it out.

alright thank you, i'll look for the pinched valves and stuff u mentioned earlier tomorrow just gotta get help i don't have the tools but i know someone that does.

Okay, cool. Keep me posted if you find anything, or if some now symptoms come up. I'll keep looking for possible solutions ;)

Is your engine like the picture I posted? All the diagrams I can find for the Skylark have that assembly in a piece of the engine..

bluntman Aug 16, 2011 11:10 PM

Some what, there are a few little differences but not much.

2k2cse Aug 16, 2011 11:17 PM

Okay, I feel like an idiot now. After looking at the picture I posted about a thousand times, I've realized that part is the fuel pressure regulator. I have no idea how I missed that all along.

bluntman Aug 16, 2011 11:19 PM

what does that do? The reason i ask is when i looked at it to see why it shut down(thinking something obivious) i realized that it looked wet, a little bit of gas was getting out, not much but some.
