'65 skylark sport front turn signal
Can anyone tell me how to change the front turn signal bulb before I break something?
|
When you look at the light assy if you see two screws ,they are usually holding the lens in place. If that is the case , just remove the 2 screws and carefully pry the lens off and you should have access to the bulb. Just be very careful attempting to remove a bulb that has been in place a long time , they can break and do a real job on your fingers.
If possible use a rag to cover the glass so it will protect your fingers should the bulb pop on you .If the procedure is not applicable to your vehicle ,could you forward a pix ,then maybe we could offer a different suggestion. |
Can do. The biggest problem with the lens is that it is behind the bumper. Took the two screws out and the rock guard. The lens doesn't just fall out. Part of it is behind the bumper.

Boy I wish I had the foresight to save all of my older vehicle service manuals. Like a dummy I just threw them out
Rich , thanks for your info probably more correct than what I suggested. |
