65 gran sport trim removal
 

i need some help. i am stripping my 65 gran sport hard top. i'm trying to get the trim off the door and not sure how to get it undone under the vent wing.does the vent have to come out to remove trim

Not sure just what you mean by trim. If you mean the rubber seal, that is part of the vent window assy.
If not, can you possibly post a pix so we have a better idea of just what you mean.

If you have the interior upholstery off the door and see no retainers to hold the trim on, then it is probably glued on and, if plastic, careful use with a heat gun might allow it to release.
