Did you check to see what your owner's manual says to do?

Sorry about that, What if you checked with your nearest Buick dealership? A lot of times a salesman/woman will have the answer, worth cheking.

They say it is obviously broken and want to tow it to the dealership service dept. ($$$$$) It is not broken, just locked out., Somewhere there has to be a compilation of what to do with this sort of issue.
The car is 2+ years old and the service "secrets" have got to be available somewhere.. Oh well, I'll keep trying. I will share any info I learn along the way.

Update by originator

OK. Sit in car with RKE In hand. press and hold the Start/Stop button in for 1 Minute (60 Sec.). Release button, put the RKE into the slot provided in the seat console.
Put foo on brake pedal, press stop start/Stop button. Car will start. DIC is enabled and life is good again.
I can't believe now-one else had this info. good luck to all. Regards, Richard.
