2011 Buick Enclave, Battery Current Sensor is a parasitic load
 

https://www.redditstatic.com/desktop...imingPixel.pngThe current draw on the battery is 0.30 amps when the car is asleep. When I remove the fuse on the Battery Current Sensor, the current drops to 0.01 (the meter only shows 2 decimal points).

What should I replace to stop this amount of current draw? The battery goes dead if not used for 2-3 days. If the car is driven every day then there is no problem. I have had the battery test several time and it is still good.

Boy I was way off! Although the inline fuse was near the current sensor it wasn't connected to the current sensor. I called tech support at REMY Automotive and told them what I found and they said the current sensor is a 5 volt sensor and gets its power from the BCM, not the battery. He looked up on his computer what fuses are in the battery compartment of a 2011 Buick Enclave and discovered it was for the OnStar system. He then searched the GM technical service bulletins and found one for the GM 2011 OnStar system that mentions battery drain issues. We don't use OnStar so I am just going to unplug it. However, if it ever gets stolen I will have to plug it back in so that the police can track it. /s
