1977 Buick 350 V8
Hello, I'm considering buying a 1977 Buick. It has a 350 V-8 in it. The car has less than 50,000 miles on it and appears to be an immaculate original. I'm going to look at it within a few days, however one thing has me concerned. The ad states that the car has recently had the "head gasket changed." I will know more when I see the car in person, but the owner says it runs and drives like new.
Anyway, are there any red flags that I should look for when I check out the vehicle? Is the head gasket change a big deal on an old car or is it normal for them to wear out with age? Thanks a lot! |
Since there are two head gaskets , would be a good idea to know why one was replaced unless they are referring to an intake manifold gasket. Sounds like you have a real collector's item there.
