I have just purchased a 1995 Buick Park Ave.

When I bought it the Passenger Climate Control panel on the passenger door is dead. No lights.. Nothing.

Well this morning upon driving to work, I noticed that when I have the
heat on I was getting nice hot heat on the drivers side, but cold air
on the passenger side!

As a side note, when we first looked at the car, we heard a clicking
sound, which, my husband, the dealer and myself all thought it was
coming from the cassette player in the deck. However, once we
bought the car that noise has gone, so we just thought the cassette
deck died.

Can anyone tell me what I need to do to get the passenger side to work
correctly. I will have to go to a junk yard, because I am sure
that the dealer will be expensive.

Thanks

-Jessica

A few suggestions.

1. Use ebay to get a manual (shop) for system troubleshooting. They are worth the small price.

2. Once you figure out what may be wrong, look for the part on ebay, the parts are not that bad and most people I have delt with have been very good.

3. The passenger controls are good to controloutput on the passenger side within a few degrees of the main controler. I have a 96 Ultra with a mind of its own and have spent lots of time trying to resolve the problem. I have replaced various components and have not solved the problem (only the temp sensor has yet to be replaced). I finally gave up and just modified the glove box by removing the 2 rubber stoppers at the top. This allows me to open the glove box and reach up under the dash to the actual flapper and move it by hand. This says a lot for the top of the line car from Buick (at the time) but my family has gotten used to it.

Hey on the main heat/a/c instament panel when the heat is on.. hit the auto button, and the one right next to it I believe is (dual Zone) this enables the passenger side climate control to come on.. try that

If anyone is interested, it turns out my problem was the door switch. The dealer wants 466.00, but we found at a salvage yard for $60.00.
