Anyone ever dealt with a repeated "clicking" sound from the heater control box (beind the glove box) that will come & go, stays for a while then clears itself?? The system functions normally after this condition clears, for as long as the car is run, till it is restarted, then it happens again.

It's a regularly repeating "click" and it's as if one of the doors or regulators can not fully close (or open) and is repeatedly attempting to. I've replaced all vacuum hoses, to eliminate manifold vacuum as the cause.

I can stop the clicking bu simply lightly pushing on the bar that pushes the lever on top of the heat exchange box behind the glove box. Just the slightest touch and it stops: As if it don't have sufficent force to push it home by itself.....

No connectors loose, avaerthing appears intact. While this clicking is going on the LED is blinking on & off, I guess there is a sensor that is in some disallowed logical condition till it clears (itself or with a push from me) then the LED works fine again. I feel the computer is doing what it is supposed to be doung but some mechanical condition is preventing things from normalizing or initializing in the right sequence, thus the blinking, till it clears. After it clears the system wortks perfectly, till the csr is shut off, and re started, when it starts all over again. I've tried minor mechanical adjustments to the bar/lever mechanism, no change. I wish I had a manual with details on how this system is supposed to function normally, then I'd be able to troubleshoot this thing the right way

Any hints from the gallery???

Thanks !!

I hada similar problemwith my PA. I took it to the dealer and was told it was some sort of module (I can dig out the reciept and tell you exactly what they replaced.) Mine started 1st with the main blower vents then the passenger climate control. The light flashed on for a few secs like it was on, it would click as if it was trying to switch over then give up and turn it's self off. It cost me quite a bit to have the dealer replacethe 2 modulesand I hope that if this is theproblem with your climate control you can get it done cheaper. I think I spent something like $930.00.

I'd appreciate hearing the module details. Mine seems to be doing the same thing.
