I want to buy a 91-93 Park avenue. Any hints on specific issues I should look for when buying ?
Also do they all have the "grand touring suspension" or is this an option?

When buying a car, i ALWAYS crank the wheel all the way to both sides and go back ward in it makeing shure there are no clunks or noises coming from the front end

you also want to go forward and do the same

check the ground under the car after you move the car backward
when you start it (look for leaks)

bring it to a shop away from your sellers house

you want someone the person is generaly not a friend of

have them check it over for any problems

look for sludge under the car on the oil pans and the axels

is the motor clean?

do all the windows work

take a magnet with

and when you leave there house go around the block and put the magnet over the car (dont drag it)

check if theres excessive body puddy on the car meaning that there
is dammage to the car..

hummmm

tread wear on the tires...

if there is inner or outer tire wear on the tires that means maby ball joints or tyrod ends are going bad....

all lights work

make shure you take it to a shop

they will be honest
and ask there NON PROFESSIONAL private opinion on the car...

tell htem you want the off the book opinion because that is what you realy want... mechanics know more about that car than most others
