2001 Park Avenue option retrofit
Hey Yall,
Newbie here. Looks like a great group with lots of knowledge being passed around. Im hoping to be able to join in on that.
I just picked up a 2001 Park Avenue with 88000 miles on it. I do lots of driving and it will be nice to have some elbow room for a change. I have been driving a SAAB for quite a while (450000 miles) and have gotten used to a few features that the new car doesn't have (yet) but were options. I like the DIC and inflatable lumbar setup.
Im wondering if anyone can tell me what is involved in swapping over the DIC from a junkyard car (beyond the switch panel). Is the info center display the same on both cars? is there a DIC module behind the dash somewhere? Would I have to change the sensors and or wiring? It would be nice if it were just the switch pack, but Im sure its more involved.
As for the seat, does anyone have a drivers seat in grey leather with the lumbar option for sale?
Thanks,
SamM
