Woodgrain detailing

What is a good product to clean and preserve the wood grain on the wagons?

I'd use something that is silicon based. Being a Buick maybe a plastic lamination or thin vinyl film that represents wood grain? Same issue with my Boss 302 monikers. I would say like Armor All (sp.?) but have read that it actually dries things out due to alcohol content.

I don't wax stripes but wash 'n wax seems to work. Water beads up with no white wax residue at edges. Car is only outdoors washing or driving some, never parked in sun. Stripes are expensive to replace but anything like that is, I'd say upwards of $2K by now (just trying to make it to 200 posts here lol)?

What are you trying to clean, scratches? I've heard good things about ScratchX but you need to be careful not to get it on surrounding areas. Also make sure you use a high quality microfiber towel.

Ehhhh now that I think about it you might just want to go to a Buick dealership and see if they offer any in-store products - just to be safe. Or maybe even ask if they have recommendations. You don't want to further damage the varnish it could really make or break the appearance.

That’s a good point. There is a Buick dealer just a half mile from me.
thanks
