Skylark Electrical Problem

I have a 1997 Buick Skylark 3.1 Liter. Thursday night on my way home from work my battery light came on, so I shut off everything electrical and limped the car home. I tested it and the alternator was bad so I replaced it. So Friday I put a new alternator in and the light is STILL ON! With the car off I am getting 12.6 Volts out of the battery, and with the car running I'm getting 12.4 Volts out of the battery. From the alternator at idle I’m getting 1.41 Volts. When I take the car for a drive my battery light does not go out. When testing for resistance from the charging terminal on the alternator to the positive on the battery its reading 24 mega ohms, I think something is wrong there cause it should not be 24 mega ohms. Can anyone please help me with this problem? Also, does anybody have or know where I can get a wiring schematic?

How old is your battery? And is there any corrosion on the battery cables? That can cause some odd problems depending on how bad it is

The connections are actually nice and clean! I'm stumped, this problem is getting the better of me.
