Hello guys, I have a 96 Buick Century. My problem is that ALL the electric window are very slow to go down or to go up.

I was thinking to remove the drivers door panel and conect the battery directly to the electric window motor to see if work faster.

I am thinking that the system does not have a good ground or maybe the contacs on the switches are dirty.

Before I going to disasemble the door panel, I really apreciated to know if any of you have expenrience the same problem and can give me some recomendations in order to save me some time looking for the problem :-)

Thx for your time and help,

Isaac

<DIV id=post_message_19504>Well, I will wait until this next sunday to see if I have time to check the problem but I will say the problemo is that the window motors are not getting enough power. I also will check the window switches and check the contacs inside the switches but is look like they are OK since all the 4 windows are very slooooowhttp://www.thisdarncar.com/vb/images...es/cussing.gif

So if this is the problem, "maybe" I will make a direct conection to the battery terminal using a 30/40 amp relay and his own fuse. The realy coil will get power only when the ING or ACC power in on.

Dont worry, I will take pics and keep you guys updated.

THX,

Isaac</DIV>

Often there is a loose connection in the driver door hinge area. The loose connection drops the voltage and since all power comes from there to the other windows they are often all affected.

Good Luck

Also .. a mention

Check your voltage when you try to roll the windows down.

If the voltage drops alot its resistance in the gearing and tracks. If not then its the wiring. .

Good Luck
