99 park Ave randomly dies and weird smell when trying to start
 

My 99 park Ave just crapped out on my in the strangest way, was getting on the highway and as I accelerated I felt my gas pedal go soft and It was not working and as I got over into the emergency lane my steering locked up and all my lights dimmed out and once I put it into park my lights went normal and I shut the engine off and tried to start it again and I smelled a strange smell and it would turn over then just shut off each time doing a weird smell not sure what is wrong to be able to fix it
