Hello,

I just bought a 1962 Buick Skylark convertable. It needs a new top and needless to say, rusty floorboards repaired. Is it possible to remove a small section at a time and weld in new sheetmetal? Luckily, it appears to be relatively flat in the bad areas. What gauge metal should be used? Any advice would be appreciated.

thanks,

I''d just get a set of cheap set of after market floor pans, your local body shop should be able to tell you the cheap places to get them.

ether that or you can just get sheet metal

and cut peaces out and place new in...

just make sure you do it in squares or your going to have
a fun time matching the part you cut out...
