1968 Electra 225 Convertible
Hello all,
As you can see I am new here. From my experiences I feel coming to a forum like this should be a much faster and more precise way of finding information on a new project. The car is owned by my sister and I am trying to gather some information on some body structure. The car has sat for over 20 years but I was able to get it started and up on the trailer to bring to my shop. From the information found in the car on receipts and that my sister has provided it is clear the millage is at 107 K. Interior is in great shape and the top raises and lowers as it should. The question I have is on the only two areas of cancer I have found. One is at the base of the windshield on the interior side and the area where the top stows behind the back seat. Fortunately this is only on the drivers side. The windshield area is all the way across. Where would I be able to locate a breakdown on the body structure or assembly of these two areas? Is the metal panel at the base of the windshield removable? Or would parts need cut out one the windshield is removed? I will post a couple of pictures later to clarify these locations. Thanks ahead of time to all information provided. This care is too complete and other than the places mentioned and the exterior is defiantly worth saving.
