Default Help, Please (Code P0102)

I am 300 miles from home with a glowing check-engine light. The car stalled out briefly today. I drive a 1998 LeSabre Custom with a 1999 engine, the typical 3800 V6, just over 70,000 miles. It threw a P0102 code. The Advance Auto Parts guy said that it corresponded to an MAF problem, low input, but he was honest. He told me to go home and be sure of what that meant on my make and model before buying a new sensor. The car has the right symptoms for the problem. It stalled once. The acceleration is increasingly bad, which is a problem as I am vacationing in the Appalachians. Getting my land yacht of over two tons up these hills is becoming a chore. Does the sensor sound right? Is that a reasonable thing to change?

Default Check Exaust

The exact same symptoms happened to my Astro. Your Catalytic Converter may be clogged.
