Default Keyless Entry Inoperative

At first it was intermittent, and now it has completely stopped working.

I have programmed remotes in the past, but this time when I followed the known procedure, I could not get the car to "chime" 3 times to enter "programming mode".

So I am thinking maybe something is wrong with the car itself.

I really want to get the keyless entry working again. Any thoughts?

Hi, I'm with you. When mine stopped working, I replased the remote battery, but cannot get programing to work for me either.I have a 2002 Buicjk lesabre. Is this something that must be taken to the dealer?
