Each car has its own unique environment and parts.. The compuer fine tunes its best start and performance based on the sensors..

Gee!, Are you replacing alot of batteries?

This relearn process is part of what saves gas and is setting parameters for a good start and warmup that is unique to your car and engine...

Most cars dont run that roughbut only for a couple days or so.. You may have a sensor going bad, MAF, CTS, but not the O2 sensor.

O2 sensor gets hot enough it goes to closed loop usessome different sensors.

FOR a quick battery swap and prevent reseting the computer youmustkeep continouspower on the battery terminals whileswapping a battery, which keeps the computer from reseting.

Shouldnt take more than a small jumper wire set to a spare battery while swapping.

GOOD LUCK
