Can anyone help me? I just bought an '04 century and there is a noise under the dash that sounds like a baseball card fluttering in the spokes of a bicycle when I approach 30 mph. the dealer says he cannot hear it when ai took it in but the noise doesn't occurr all the time. IT IS DRIVING ME NUTZ!

This is just a guess, but it could be your fan (ventilation) or the flap? that moves the direction of the air to your vents, window and feet. This flap is controlled by vaccum as to which direction you choose. To verify if this is it, change the direction to your feet or the windshield and see if you continue to hear it.

Another possbility is a a leaf or "card" stuck in the vent tubes.

I'm having the SAME problem on my 2001 Buick Regal!!!

It is driving me nuts too! It doesn't make the noise when I'm idling at all. It gets louder the faster I drive and sounds like it's winding down as I break and the engine slows. I want to make sure it's nothing serious and find out what to fix.

My fiance fixes cars so I don't want to have to take it to a shop, just have an idea about whatto what to fix.

Tried transmission fluid, oil and carburator cleaner - no results.

Thanks!!!
