Where is the Camshaft Position Sensor located?

One generic "diagram" shows top view indicating towards back from "crankshaft position sensor".

A different verbal description says:" Lower RH Side Of Engine, Above Lower Pulley". This description would appear to put it behind motor mount, therfore impossible to get to.

These two references disagree with each other.

Question:
My guess it is towards top of engine under the alternator.

Is it true that if I remove the alternator I could see the camshaft position sensor?

 

Don't remove your alternator. The sensor cannot be seen from the top of the motor, as it's tucked into the back of the motor on that side. Run your fingers behind the motor near the small black pulley under the alternator and you'll feel an electrical connection into the motor. unlatch that and you have pulled out your sensor.
