Anyone know where the ECM is located on a 1995 Buick Park Ave?

I am thinking this may be my problem since everything else is new.

I have a bent lifter which was causing the knock sensor to retard the timing too much therefore loss of power. i have unhooked the knock sensor and in teh morning the car runs great but in teh afternoon when it warms up it losses power and the transimission will not shift into O/D.

any ideas welcome i already purchased the computer and am ready to install.

Although I previously owned a Park Avenue similar to yours, I never needed to access the ECM.

I can tell you that, on my '97, it seems to be located under a plastic cover adjacent to the air filter enclosure and toward the driver's side front fender. I had to remove those parts to get to some other areas and found a large finned casting with a big cable going into it, which I think must be the ECM.

Hope this helps!
