Default Rear View Mirror Wiring Question

I got a rear view mirror with a compass out of a 2000 or 2001 LeSabre. I am wanting to put it in my dad's 2000 LeSabre. The mirror wiring has 5 wires coming out of it. They are: Brown, Black with White Stripe, Green, Grey, and Pink. There was also some kind of box on the wind shield and grabbed it to cause I didnt know what it was. Its wires are: Black with White Stripe, Green with Black Stripe, Black, Gold. Here is pictures of everything. Thanks

The box is probably a rain sensor, or light sensor for the autodim mirror. I'm leaning towards the rain sensor for the wipers.

Good. Something I don't have to wire then. So now how do I wire this mirror up?

You can remove the box and the wires for it, then basically just match the wires on the mirror to the ones in the car.

There isn't any wires on the car that I know of to match it up.

Does your dad's car have autodim, compass, and whatever else the new mirror has?

Nope, that's why I am wanting to add it to his car. Somehow I need to find a wiring diagram. I figured someone on here has added this before.

Yeah, you'll definitely need a wiring diagram. I don't think it's going to be a real easy task, unless you can get your hands on the complete wiring harness for it. If you haven't already, take a look through some of the older posts. There isn't a lot of activity on this forum anymore, so you might be hard pressed to find someone who currently has it done. Sorry I can't be of anymore help.

Well I have added an Explorer Over Head Console with the built in compass and thermometer to my Ranger. Its not hard thing but it is without a wiring diagram. Is there another Buick forum that is more active? Thank for all of your help Travis. I appreciate it.
