Was Buying a 2012 Turbo a Mistake?
Hi Everyone,
So I just bought my first Buick and first car ever!! I've been eyeing the Regals for a while and knew it was absolutely the car for me the first time I laid eyes on it.
The regal I got is the 2012 premium III manual with 8k miles (jet black in and out if you're curious, very sharp). Anyhow this guy cut me a good deal and in my excitement I jumped on it like the last chopper out of nam. Well in all my research since i bought it (havn't picked it up yet) I've found I could probably have gotten a 2014 base turbo model for just a couple grand more than what I paid for a fully loaded 2012. The fact that the 2014 comes with the stock 269 HP leaves me feeling a little disappointed since power was really something high on the priority list. However I'm happy I was able to get a manual since are hard to come by and I don't want to throw down the extra buck on a GS. I know i'm going to love the car, I just hope I'm not kicking myself for not waiting out for a '14 for the extra added HP. Of course for my price range the '14 would probably not include sunroof and w/e other premium stuff (however I do think the base regals are pretty damn loaded).
Anyway let me know what you guys think! Also if anyone can put in their 2 cents on how the turbo regals 220 hp feel I'd appreciate it. I don't care to race or anything, but i do love to punch it down my long hilly country road!!
tl;dr - I bought a practically new 2012 premium iii turbo before realizing the 2014 turbo regals come standared w/ 269 hp!
