I have a 1994 Regal 3.8L V6 it has 113,000 mi., I was driving down the road and was messing around and punched the accelerator not all the way but just a little bit, as if I were trying to get on the highway. Well when I did that, the car started acting up real bad and it started to smoke alot from the exhaust and apparently my wife who was behind me had her car sprayed with oil. At this point the check engine light came on and the check gauges light came on as well. I then decided at that point it would be a good idea to head on home which wasn't too far from where I was anyways. I proceeded down the street and there was a red light so I decellerated, when I did that the car started acting up more and it shook for a min like the transmission had slipped and then I tryed to give it a little gas and it just quit, I came to a rolling stop. I had it towed home and tryed to start the car and the starter wouldn't turn, nothing would happen, I did a little inspection and noticed that the oil had came out of what looked like the top of the oil filter. I'm trying to figure out what this issue is, I'm not sure what happened, can someone help me..?

Someone told me I had froze the engine, another one told me maybe it's just the head gasket, another one told me that it might just be an electrical issue (starter, alternator) But I have no clue, Any thoughts would be great.
